MMP9 and neoplasm: Given the relevance of these proteins in tumor development and their potential as clinically relevant biomarkers for patient management, the purpose of this study was to assess the prognostic potential of the secretome-associated proteins (MMP-2, MMP-9, VEGFA, and YKL40) in tissue samples from a cohort of patients with recurrent GB who had been subjected to the Stupp Protocol (first line), and to bevacizumab as second-line treatment upon recurrence under TMZ.
