In hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and cervical cancer, OTUD5 exerts oncogenic effects by removing the ubiquitination modifications of the tripartite motif containing 25 (TRIM25), tumor protein P53 (TP53), programmed cell death 5 (PDCD5) and phosphatase and tensin homolog (PTEN) [7,8,9]. This evidence concerns the gene TP53 and cervical carcinoma.
