RUNX3 has since been shown to be inactivated by genetic/epigenetic changes [2,3,4,5] or protein mislocalization [6,7,8] in various human cancers, including gastric, colorectal, lung, pancreatic, breast, liver, and prostate cancers, as well as leukemia and neuroblastoma [9].
