In an analysis of 817 SLE patients from the LUMINA and Hopkins cohorts, aβ2GPI IgA-positive patients developed significantly more arterial thrombosis than negative patients (OR 2.2, 95%CI: 1.1–4.4), but there was no significant difference for venous thrombosis (OR 1.6, 95%CI: 0.9–2.8) [49]. This evidence concerns the gene CD79A and systemic lupus erythematosus.
