Notably, in PCOS group, the levels of fasting blood glucose (FBG), fasting insulin (FINS), homeostasis model of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR), luteinizing hormone, follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), estradiol (E2), testosterone (T), prolactin (PRL), progesterone (P), anti-mullerian hormone (AMH), and total cholesterol (TC) were significantly higher than those in control group (P < 0.05). This evidence concerns the gene PRL and polycystic ovary syndrome.
