Our findings are in line with previous studies reporting increases in cell death by NUAK1 silencing in colorectal cancer cells (Suzuki et al., 2004), reduced survival of breast cancer cells by silencing of NUAK2 (Kim et al., 2008), and reduced proliferation of cervical cancer cells by silencing of NUAK2 (Li et al., 2021). Here, NUAK1 is linked to cervical carcinoma.
