Treatment of osteosarcoma cells with ERIANIN significantly increased the number of cells in the G2/M phase, significantly decreased those in the G0/G1 and S phases, upregulated the expression of p53, p21, p27, p-CDK1, and cyclin B1, and downregulated the expression levels of CDK1 and CDK7, indicating that ERIANIN inhibited the activation of the cyclin-CDK complex and caused cellular a G2/M block, thereby exerting cytotoxic effects (75). This evidence concerns the gene CDK1 and osteosarcoma.
