Some reports showed that galectin-3 contributes to malignant transformation, tumor cell survival, angiogenesis, and metastasis [21,22,23], and overexpression of galectin-3 protein was closely related to the development of cancers, such as colorectal cancer, breast cancer, melanoma, liver cancer, large-cell lymphoma, brain tumors, and thyroid cancer [24,25]. Here, LGALS3 is linked to anaplastic large cell lymphoma.
