The use of nanomedicines for targeted drug delivery could help resolve these issues by (1) improving the pharmacokinetic profile of the drug, (2) enhancing tumor targeting potential and localization at the tumor site, (3) minimizing off-site targets and side effects, (4) reducing or reversing multidrug resistance mechanisms, and (5) inhibiting acquired resistance and sensitizing tumor cells to EGFR-TKIs through synergistic action against various anti-tumor targets (57, 58). Here, EGFR is linked to neoplasm.
