Studies have supported that Lactobacillus or its metabolic products lactate supplementation could relieve allergic diseases (Kalliomäki et al., 2001; Selle and Klaenhammer, 2013; Kozakova et al., 2016; Rezazadeh et al., 2018; Esber et al., 2020; Suzuki et al., 2020) by improving the intestinal epithelial barrier, reducing allergen-specific IgE, and increasing regulatory cytokine TGF-β. This evidence concerns the gene IGHE and allergic disease.
