Adult passive transfer model of pemphigus was also applied in fully humanized Dsg3 (hDsg3) mice, showing that the administration of anti-Dsg3 serum IgG from patients with mucosal PV (mPV) caused IgG deposits on the surface of epidermal keratinocytes and suprabasilar acantholysis in mucosal tissues of hDsg3 mice, but not in WT mice. The gene discussed is DSG3; the disease is pemphigus.
