Furthermore, within the PCOS subgroups, obese patients in the FAT group showed higher levels of IL-6 (93.53 ± 12.96 pg/ml vs. 49.17 ± 9.49 pg/ml) and TNF-α (195.20 ± 27.02 pg/ml vs. 124.01 ± 11.17 pg/ml) compared to the HA group, which is consistent with previous studies [18, 19]. Here, IL6 is linked to polycystic ovary syndrome.
