p53 active BC cells (MDA-MB-175 VII and MDA-MB-361) had a much larger fraction of the G1-phase cells after BCar treatment at ≥1 μM as compared to p53 inactive breast cancer cells (MDA-MB-468, MDA-MB-231, HCC70, BT-549), suggesting a stalled G1 phase of the cell cycle in the p53-wt cells. This evidence concerns the gene TP53 and breast carcinoma.
