The expression of the analyzed markers for cardiomyopathy: sarcoplasmic/endoplasmic reticulum calcium ATPase 2 (SERCA2), periostin, actin alpha 1 (ACTA1), and connective tissue growth factor (CTGF), natriuretic peptide B (Nppb), the myosin heavy chain α isoform (αMHC), and the myosin heavy chain β isoform (βMHC) showed no relevant differences until day 56 after BDL (cf. Figure 6). The gene discussed is ACTA1; the disease is cardiomyopathy.
