Thanks to the ELLA instrument, also Fas (Figure 2F), BDNF (Figure 2G) and VEGFR2 (Figure 2H) were quantified in stroke and CTRL samples, observing a slight increase in VEGFR2 concentration in stroke compared to CTRL (p = 0.05, Mann–Whitney test), while BDNF was significantly decreased in stroke patients (p = 0.044, Mann–Whitney test). The gene discussed is BDNF; the disease is stroke disorder.
