AKT1 and neoplasm: Although a previous study showed NRP-1 inhibition in glioma cells caused a decrease in the size of mice xenografts [31], our results showed no significant change in the rate of growth of the xenografts; although we did observe a delay in the onset of tumor growth in one of the replicas, this might be explained by the increase in phospho-AKT-S473 levels in the NRP-1 KO cells (Figure 1), and the PI3K-AKT pathway was over presented in NRP-1 KO based on RNA sequencing pathway analysis (Figure 5).
