To investigate the role of cannabinoid receptor 2 (CB2) in skin carcinogenesis, we used the multi-stage chemical carcinogenesis model, wherein a tumor initiator (7,12- dimethylbenz[a]anthracene, DMBA) is applied topically, followed by a tumor promoter (12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol-13-acetate, TPA) [6]. This evidence concerns the gene CNR2 and neoplasm.
