A differently methylated region was found in the region of the 5′UTR of the GBP1 gene (Interferon-induced Guanylate-Binding Protein 1), which was hypomethylated in triple-negative breast cancer samples compared to normal samples [25], which is similar to our findings in oral and oropharyngeal cancers. The gene discussed is GBP1; the disease is triple-negative breast carcinoma.
