TLRs and αSyn are shown to be reciprocally influenced in a positive feedback loop; indeed, αSyn increases the expression of TLRs, including TLR1, TLR2, TLR3, and the adaptor Myd88 [77] and TLR2 and TLR4 are dysregulated in PD patients and animal models [78,79,80,81].
