In another meta-analysis for advanced HCC (11 studies with 3342 patients), patients treated with a combination immunotherapy had higher ORR (RR 2.74, p < 0.001) and OS (HR 0.65, p < 0.001) than sorafenib, respectively, but PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors + anti-VEGF agents had higher ORR (25.2% vs. 23.4%, p = 0.03), six-month PFS (47.4% vs. 23.2%, p < 0.001), and 1-year OS (65.1% vs. 55.0%, p = 0.001) than PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors + CTLA-4 inhibitors [241]. This evidence concerns the gene CTLA4 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
