Since medulloblastoma cell lines exhibit high EMMPRIN and MMP-2 levels and their expression was differentially enriched in metastatic cell lines compared to the primary cell lines, we hypothesised that MMP-2, and its inducer EMMPRIN, could be packaged into exosomes for extracellular release, thus contributing to medulloblastoma invasion and migration. This evidence concerns the gene MMP2 and medulloblastoma.
