Unsurprisingly, there were genes downregulated in the sex cords and adenoma samples, when compared to normal (mature) GCs, that are associated with DNA repair mechanisms, such as Brca1, Brca2 and Xrcc2 (Figure 3C,D), relating to both the loss of Fancd2 in the knock-out phenotypes and the progression to an abnormal phenotype.
