MUC16 and uterine corpus sarcoma: In their up-to-date review of the literature focusing on advances in the preoperative identification of uterine sarcoma, Liu et al. underlined the fact that high serum markers Cancer Antigen 125 (CA-125), Lactate Dehydrogenase (LDH), C-reactive protein (CRP), and D-dimers, could theoretically indicate uterine sarcoma, but are strongly influenced by various other factors and, consequently, lack specificity.
