Interestingly, as we showed in our liver cancer cell lines models how the loss of NSUN7 was associated with lower CCDC9B stability and lower levels of this mRNA (Fig. 2F,G), we were able to recapitulate these data in the primary setting where the presence of NSUN7 hypermethylation was associated with CCDC9B transcript downregulation in the TCGA cohort of liver tumors (Fig. 4C). This evidence concerns the gene NSUN7 and liver cancer.
