Mislocalization of Tau into the somatodendritic compartment (‘Tau missorting’) is a key event of Tau pathology development, which is usually defined by the presence of AT8 phosphorylation, Tau missorting or ectopic presence, and Tau aggregation in many neurodegenerative diseases summarized under the term tauopathies.
