In metastatic breast and prostate cancers, two solid malignancies with a similar favorable prognosis as EGFR+ NSCLC, most patients with bone metastases received a BTA, which translated into a significant SRE reduction by bisphosphonates in patients with breast cancer and bone metastases (relative risk = 0.86, 95% CI: 0.78–0.95, p = 0.003).14 This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and breast carcinoma.
