Following our previous report describing a case of esophageal PFM harboring the MALAT1::GLI1fusion gene coding an N-terminal truncated GLI1 protein (NtGLI1) [16], we hypothesize that MALAT1 plays a pivotal role in the transcriptional regulation of truncated GLI1 expression.
