IL6 and sarcopenia: The risk of sarcopenia increased with advancing of age such that participants older than 70 years had an increased risk at 8.7 times [Adjusted OR: 8.7; 95% CI 2.21–35.5, Pfor trend < 0.01], as compared to their younger counterparts, after adjustments for potential confounding factors of body composition profile and blood IL-6 status.
