Within these types, BARX2 was expressed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), cholangiocarcinoma (CHOL), oesophageal carcinoma (ESCA), kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), and lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC) and was upregulated compared to the expression in corresponding normal tissue. Here, BARX2 is linked to bladder transitional cell carcinoma.
