As was shown in Fig. 5E–H, a lower expression of mRNA for EYA3 (HR = 0.44, 95%CI 0.31–0.61, and P < 0.001) and EYA4 (HR = 0.56, 95%CI 0.39–0.79, and P = 0.001) was closely associated with a worse OS in ccRCC patients, while a high level of EYA1 (HR = 2.71, 95%CI 1.91–3.85, and P < 0.001) mRNA expression was associated with poor PFS. This evidence concerns the gene EYA4 and nonpapillary renal cell carcinoma.
