As was shown in Fig. 5A–D, our results showed that lower mRNA expression of EYA3 (HR = 0.48, 95%CI 0.36–0.65, and P < 0.001) and EYA4 (HR = 0.60, 95%CI 0.42–0.85, and P = 0.004) was closely associated with poorer overall survival (OS) in ccRCC patients, while a high level of EYA1 (HR = 2.11, 95%CI 1.54–2.87, and P < 0.001) mRNA expression was associated with poor OS. This evidence concerns the gene EYA1 and nonpapillary renal cell carcinoma.
