Activated NF-κB inhibits ferroptosis in granulosa cells of polycystic ovary syndrome by upregulating the expression of GPX4, but which induces ferroptosis in glioblastoma by repression of SLC7A11 (Li et al., 2021; Tan et al., 2022). The gene discussed is NFKB1; the disease is polycystic ovary syndrome.
