In-depth mechanism studies showed that ANI reduced the expressions of Ki67 (the proliferating cell related antigen) and vascular endothelial-derived growth factor (VEGF), and induced HCC cells apoptosis, which were reversed by NLRP3 overexpression, indicating that ANI inhibited the growth and motility of HCC cells and induced apoptosis by inhibiting NLRP3 inflammasome. Here, MKI67 is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
