In addition, as the microtubule-associated protein 6 (MAP6, also known as stable-only polypeptide, STOP) gene is associated with schizophrenia (Shimizu et al., 2006) and the MAP6 knockout (KO) mouse is a genetic mouse model of schizophrenia/psychosis (Andrieux et al., 2002; Profitt et al., 2016), we further investigated the hypnotic effects of A2ARPAM-1 in MAP6 (STOP) KO mice.
