The percentage of CD4+CD25+FoxP3+ Tregs was significantly higher in the PBMCs of lepromatous leprosy patients (12.53 ± 2.46%) compared with that in tuberculoid leprosy patients (7.15 ± 1.71%) and healthy individuals (4.42 ± 1.23%) (Figures 1A, B). The gene discussed is FOXP3; the disease is tuberculoid leprosy.
