These results indicated that prostate cancer cells in TME may transmit their stress signal to macrophages among exosomes through the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway, leading to phenotypic and functional changes of macrophages and promote the expression of immunosuppressive factors in TAM, so as to enable tumor cells to evade immune surveillance, spread and metastasize. This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and prostate carcinoma.
