We believe that SOX2OT acting as ceRNA to protect mRNA of METTL3/14/IGF2BP2 and guiding METTL3/14/IGF2BP2 to GLI1 mRNA is the pivotal mode of action of SOX2OT in GLI1 regulation since SOX2OT is located mainly in the cytoplasm of lung cancer cells (>85% in A549 and >70% in H1299 cells). This evidence concerns the gene METTL3 and lung carcinoma.
