In the current study, we utilized poly(I:C) to induce TLR3 stimulation and thereby model dsRNA viral infection, and found that monocytes expressing CD181 (CD181+CD182+ and CD181+CD182−) were increased, while those without CD181 expression (CD181−CD182+ and CD181−CD182−) were diminished, in pregnant women compared to non-pregnant individuals. The gene discussed is CXCR2; the disease is viral infectious disease.
