Moreover, genes involved in cell proliferation [epiregulin (EREG)), invasion (matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) 1 and 19], angiogenesis and lymph angiogenesis [transforming growth factor beta 1 (TGFB1) and RAS p21 protein activator 4 (RASA4)], and chemotaxis [C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 8 (CXCL8)] were significantly downregulated in PCDH10-overexpressing GC cells (Fig. 4G), indicating that PCDH10 may suppress GC progression by downregulating the expression of several critical oncogenes.
