A recent study reported that nuclear YAP1 was elevated in Schwann cells of head and neck plexiform neurofibroma (pNF) tumor tissues, and knockdown of NF1 in Schwann cells resulted in decreased levels of phosphorylated YAP1 and increased nuclear YAP1, suggesting that NF1 may influence YAP1 localization [33]. This evidence concerns the gene YAP1 and neoplasm.
