In order to investigate whether PAstV1 induces the production of IFN-β, quantitative real-time PCR (qPCR) and an IFN-β promoter luciferase reporter system were used to measure the mRNA levels and promoter activities of IFN-β in PK-15 cells after infection with PAstV-GX1 at a multiplicity of infection (MOI) of 0.01 for 4, 8, 12, 24, 36, and 48 h.
