Chen et al. (2012) demonstrated that HDAC6 expression significantly increased during the early phases of ischemia stroke, indicating its contribution to stroke pathogenesis. Zhang et al. (2014) noticed a dramatic increase in the level of HDAC6 in a transgenic mice model of Alzheimer’s disease. In line with these results, our findings demonstrated that the level of HDAC6 increased significantly at 1 day and peaked at 3 days after ICH induction. For the in vitro experiment, the level of HDAC6 in SH-SY5Y cells significantly increased after hemin treatment for 24 h. The gene discussed is HDAC6; the disease is early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease.
