Notably, myeloid cells, which include bone-marrow-derived macrophages, microglia, dendritic cells and neutrophils, chiefly comprise the glioblastoma tumour immune microenvironment (Extended Data Fig. 6d,e), and the microglial cell surface molecules CD36 and CD47 can function as TSP-1 receptors33,34.
