In multivariate logistic regression analysis, after adjusting for covariates (included sex, total cholesterol, low‐density lipoprotein, high‐density lipoprotein levels, history of stroke, history of hypertension, antiplatelet therapy, antihypertensive therapy, current smoking, regular alcohol consumption, lower educational background; p < .05 variables), we found that NOS2A rs2297518GG was independently associated with an increased risk of increased CCA‐IMT, and IL1A rs1609682TT and HABP2 rs7923349TT were associated with a higher risk for vulnerable plaque. This evidence concerns the gene NOS2 and hypertensive disorder.
