IRF1 and bacterial infectious disease: Since BbGSDME is abundant in immune-related tissues and is related to bacterial infections, to further reveal the transcriptional regulation of Bbgsdme, we then performed bioinformatics analysis using JASPAR (http://jaspar.genereg.net/) to identify the region from −1,206 to +674 on the Bbgsdme promoter that contains interferon regulatory factor 1 (IRF1) or RelA binding motifs (Fig 4J).
