Oxamate treatment eliminated the effect of SVA on the interaction between RIG-I and MAVS (Fig 6A), whereas lactate treatment eliminated the positive effect of oxamate on the interaction between MAVS and RIG-I (Fig 6B), suggesting that the promotion of lactate production by SVA infection inhibits RLR signaling by destabilizing the interaction between MAVS and RIG-I.
