Increased soluble ICAM-1 is commonly seen in the blood of OSA patients after being shedded from the endothelial cell surface and has already been shown to correlate with OSA disease severity (Ursavas et al., 2007; Haranczyk et al., 2022; Peracaula et al., 2022).
