Recent clinical studies of six major hepatoprotective flavonoids have confirmed beneficial effects on liver diseases by inhibiting inflammation by lowering thresholds of several cytokines including interleukin-1, interleukin-6, and TNF-α, decreasing its main mediator prostaglandins, COX-2, ROS, and preventing the NF-κB/P65, IKK, and IKBα in the NF-κB signalling. Here, NFKB1 is linked to liver disorder.
