After adjusting for potential covariates, such as sex, age, and hypertension, individuals with high levels of TC (OR 1.21, 95% CI [1.1–1.32], p < 0.001), LDL-C (OR 1.29, 95% CI [1.17–1.41], p < 0.001), Apo-B (OR 1.90, 95% CI [1.31–2.85], p =0.001), and ApoE ɛ4 allele(OR 1.41, 95% CI [1.12–1.78], p = 0.004) had significantly high risks of T2DM. Here, APOB is linked to type 2 diabetes mellitus.
