Ketamine impaired the offspring's postnatal neurogenesis when administered in G14.5 pregnancy and it also led to neuronal apoptosis (Zhao et al. 2016, 2014), cognitive dysfunction and mood disorder via the BDNF/CREB pathway (Li et al. 2017b) and neurotoxic effect through Wnt/β-catenin pathway (Zhang et al. 2020). This evidence concerns the gene BDNF and mood disorder.
