Since EGFR, AKT, and ERK1/2 pathways are known for their role in cell proliferation and cell survival, we wanted to link our data on the phosphorylation status of these proteins especially EGFR and AKT with the induction of the anti-apoptotic protein, survivin, which belongs to the inhibitor of apoptosis (IAP) family and considered as the key marker for the activation of the survival pathway in cancer cells. Here, EGFR is linked to cancer.
